About Locknsell

What is LocknSell ?


LocknSell is a service that allows people to buy and sell used items through smart lockers. Sellers put the item in one of our lockers and buyers scan their phone to pick up the item from the locker. No need to worry about who is the other person, no need to share personal information and no need to schedule time to meet.




Where are your lockers located ?


Our first locker is in the University YMCA (UIUC Campus). If you own a business and you are interested in host one of our lockers and get more foot traffic, please contact us at info@locknsell.com




What are the sizes of the locker compartments ?


We ​have different sizes of lockers 1. L: 20” H x 15” W x 20” D (Microwaves, Xboxes, ...) 2. M: 9.5” H x 15” W x 20” D 3. S: 4.5” H x 15” W x 20” D (Books, board games,..)




What items are not allowed in your lockers ?


1. Alcohol 2. Drugs 3. Weapons or explosives 4. llegal goods 5. Stolen goods 6. Flammable materials 7. Animals or Pets





Dropoffs

Can I request a pickup before the item is dropped off ?


Yes, you can request the pickup once the seller posts an item. The seller can then accept the request and schedule a time to drop it off. You will be notified when a seller accepts your request and drops off the item.




How long do I have to pick the item ?


You can pick up the item in the same day you specified in the pickup request. If you want to pick up next day, you can cancel the current request and place another one for the next day.




How do I track the status of the active pickup requests ?


In the "pickups" tab, you can track the staus of the pickup requests. The pickup request can be in one of the following statuses: 1- Waiting: The request has been submitted by the buyer but the seller did not respond to it yet 2- Accepted: The request has been submitted by the buyer and accepted by the seller 3- Pending Pickup: The request has been accepted by the seller and the buyer submitted a successful payment




What if the item inside the locker was not as described ?


You will have 15 minutes to check out the item and see if it matches your expectation. If you are not satisfied, you can decide to leave the item inside and follow the prompts on the screen. The payment will be refunded to your credit card.




How do I track the status of the previous pickup requests ?


Previous pickup requests can be reviewed in the "History" under the "Me" tab. Previous pickup request can be in one of the following statuses: 1- Rejected: The request is rejected by the seller 2- Cancelled: The request is cancelled by the buyer or the seller after being submitted 3- Successful: The buyer successfully picked up the item from the locker 4- Refund: The buyer decided to keep the item inside the locker
